The Ross and Donna Irvine Education Fund

Purpose

The Ross and Donna Irvine Education Fund supports students involved with kinship service or kinship care, providing financial assistance for education, mental health, and wellbeing services, in the Guelph and Wellington area.

How much can I apply for

Each fiscal year, the Ross and Donna Irvine Education Fund awards a $1250 grant to one student for services in the Guelph and Wellington area, which can include Psycho-Educational Assessment, Mental Health Therapy, Counselling, or a First Year Post Secondary Bursary.

Who is eligible

  • The student is currently involved in kinship service or kinship care.
  • The student is between the ages of 8 to 23.
  • The student lives and/or goes to school in the Guelph and Wellington area.
  • The student enrolls in school part time or full time.
  • The student must be a Canadian citizen, landed immigrant, permanent resident, or a protected person.
  • The student doesn’t already have a postsecondary degree, diploma, or certificate.
  • The student meets the financial need criteria defined in the bursary application.
  • If applying for a bursary, the student must be entering their first year of post secondary programming in University, College, or Trade Schools.
